Cornerstone Destiny

Destiny (Cornerstone Destiny, HIC) was my first REAL show dog. The problem was she was so darn smart she effortlessly outsmarted anyone she came in contact with! And, she didn’t like to show. But, she did love to herd.

CH. Vennessee’s Enchanted Crystal

Crystal – (CH. Vennessee’s Enchanted Crystal) was my foundation bitch. Everything I have today goes back to her. Crystal was known for her incredible skull and very sweet temperament. She produced dogs with great eye checks and wonderful temperaments. She finished at Piedmont Collie Club Specialty on January 26, 2006 where she went WB/BW/BOS to BOV and BOB! She was specialed only once and went BOS to BOV and BOB.

Crystal had 3 wonderful get that I kept from her first litter. (Listed in their birth order) – CH. Spellbound My Diamond Tiara (Tiara), CH. Spellbound Classique Lenox (Lenox) and Spellbound 14kt Gold (Tiffany). These were my first home bred champions. They stayed at Spellbound Collies their entire life.

Crystal’s 2nd Litter:

CH Vennessee’s Summer Wind x CH Vennessee’s Enchanted Crystal

From Crystal’s 2nd litter I finished Calvin (Ch Spellbound Rave Reviews) right after his 1st birthday! Amanda MacLeon from Colwick Collies and I co-owned Avery (CH Spellbound’s Leading Lady). Avery lived and was loved by Amanda and her family in Canada. Avery finished in a few shows and gained her Canadian championship. She whelped 2 litters and is a major influence in Colwick Collies today. Janice Marcinak adopted another one of Crystal’s girls – Angel (Spellbound’s Magic at Marmont). Avery and Calvin took off like a storm from their first shows! Angel also did very well in the show ring. She whelped a beautiful singleton puppy.

The greatest pleasure of a dog is that you may make a fool of yourself
with him and not only will he not scold you, but he will make a fool of himself, too.”
